An illustrative preview

One everyday moment.
Three ways to respond.

Choose a setting to see the kind of practical perspective you can explore. These prepared examples illustrate the experience; responses in the app depend on the situation and context you provide.

The situation

“My child says no when it’s time to get dressed.”

First, observe: Is the child absorbed in something, uncomfortable, or looking for a little more independence?

Option 1

A small, real choice

“Would you like the blue shirt or the green shirt?”

Set out two comfortable options and allow a little time for the child to choose.

Option 2

Make room to participate

“You can start with the sleeves. I’m here if you need help.”

Offer one manageable part of the task and support the child without taking over immediately.

Option 3

Prepare the transition

“Let’s park your work here. Then we’ll get dressed together.”

Acknowledge what the child was doing and make the next step clear and predictable.

Start with observation. Choose what fits your child and your setting. In the app, you can request more options and save the responses you want to revisit.

Guidance you can use and revisit

Bring context into the conversation.

Describe what happened, select a child or age, and explore possible next steps. The app helps you consider both the child’s experience and your own response.

Build on your own observations.

After trying a suggestion, record whether it helped, helped a little, or didn’t help. Add a short observation for that child.

Relevant feedback from similar situations can inform future suggestions, helping you build on useful approaches and consider alternatives. Your observations guide the context; outcomes will vary.

Three responses, with more to explore
Compare possible words and actions, understand the thinking behind them, and request additional options.
Context for the child and the adult
Use child profiles, age, support preferences, and ADHD-related context to help tailor the guidance. Adult guidance offers space for your own perspective, too.
Favorites and sharing
Save useful question-and-response pairs, revisit them later, and share guidance through the app’s sharing options.
Family routines in one place
Organize child profiles and routine reminders so useful context is easier to find when you return.

Before you get started

A few useful details.

Can I purchase Montessori for Living today?

The app is in development and private beta. Public purchase availability, pricing, and package details have not yet been announced. You can ask about early access using the contact link below.

Can I sign in from this page?

Yes. Approved beta users can select Existing user sign in to continue to the app’s sign-in page. An early-access inquiry does not automatically create an account or grant access.

How does feedback influence future guidance?

When you record an outcome for a child, relevant observations from similar situations can be considered in later suggestions. Feedback is your reported experience; it does not guarantee that an approach will work in a new situation.

Are the examples on this page live AI responses?

No. They are prepared illustrations of possible responses. Inside the app, AI-generated guidance can use the age, situation, preferences, and relevant child feedback you provide.

Do all views contain the same tools?

The Parent view focuses on everyday guidance and routines. Learning tools are available in the Teacher, Caregiver, and Full app views; reference albums and the personal Teacher Notebook are part of the Teacher view. Features may evolve during beta.

Is formal Montessori training required?

The guidance and learning overviews are designed to be approachable. Work presentations and teacher resources are introductory supports for observation and practice, and complement a trained Montessori guide’s judgment and instruction.
