Peter Weitl’s historical research examines the institutions, obligations, and trust behind commerce. Nine white papers are available to explore now; the forthcoming book will bring the collection together with additional chapters.

Meet the founder
Peter is a senior credit risk and payments executive with more than 20 years of experience across fintech, merchant acquiring, global payments, and commercial banking. His work combines financial analysis, independent credit judgment, and portfolio intelligence to help organizations manage exposure while supporting responsible growth.
At Worldline, his remit included oversight across approximately 350 merchant relationships within a roughly $91 billion global payments environment. His earlier experience includes commercial-credit transformation at First Republic Bank, credit leadership at McKesson, and commercial underwriting at Bank of the West.
Through Weitl Enterprises LLC, Peter provides advisory support and develops educational content, research, and digital products. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Marketing from Lewis University.
